Meet the team . . . .

Robert Chantler

Robert is involved with so much voluntary work, that in itself tends to become his interest. Robert has written a number of items over the years that he states will probably never be published or even read.

Here's a little bit of me . . . .

Favourite

Track . . . Get This Party Started - Shirley Bassey

Favourite Artist . . . Hilary Hahn (violinist)

Favourite Hobby . . . Am Dram and St John Ambulance

Favourite Film . . . One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest

Favourite Person . . . Don't know -- I like to try and see the good in everyone

Robert’s musical tastes include classical music and choral music and he plays piano, and has also played the euphonium for a while too (that’s a small tuba apparently). Robert finds that classical music engages with the emotions in a way that "pop" never can. That said he enjoy the 50s and 60s music and listens to jazz too. He’s even been known to have a good session of house, trance etc -- even heavy metal and rap.

A man of many talents, Robert I was a psychotherapist, author and is playwright, and once did one-man shows with a family of ostrich puppets for charity at college and actually recorded on tape over 400 thirty minute shows. And if that wasn’t enough, Robert is about to attempt to learn Mandarin so that should be an interesting broadcast!
