More used to being behind a microphone live on stage than anonymously in a studio, singing with her Country Music Band as "Dixie Pepper" (many moons ago) and with other bands including travelling in USA singing solo. Unfortunately her microphone has been silent for some time now. So getting involved with the radio is a great outlet for her musical passions.
Mary is also involved with two other local charities, Chairman and Newsletter Editor of the Woking, Runnymede & Weybridge Branch of the MS Society and Newsletter Editor and Secretary for Woking & District Cats Protection. Her voluntary work and being involved with the local community in her job with the Patient & Public Involvement Forums brings Mary into contact with a wide and diverse network of people which she loves. She says, "Music is a great connector of people, memories and emotions and having the opportunity to help bring all that together on the radio is a fabulous way to spend a few hours each week."
