Martin is no stranger to Hospital Radio Wey having joined the station in 1983 and stayed for just over a year. Martin also had a spot reading local news on Radio Lion in Guildford and spent nearly 10 years running a mobile disco with Rob James the founder and former presenter of Surrey Sounds.

Martin’s other interest apart from radio and music is horse riding and Martin owns his own horse which is an Irish Draft mare called Laurel. Martin said “I ride my horse as often as I can as this gets me out into the fresh air and provides plenty of exercise. I also love to cycle and commute daily from Ottershaw to Woking in my drive to keep fit”.
