Jim Coombe
Jim has clocked up an amazing 38 years with Radio Wey, during which time he has seen it through all its various manifestations!

Favourite Person . . . My wife of of 48 years
Among Jim's most memorable moments he recalls the amateur FA cup final between Walton and Hersham, which was broadcast live from Wembley on HRW. ‘That was really something’ Jim recalls ‘and Radio Wey was pretty much the only place you could hear it. We had people coming to hospital just to listen in!’
He has also been Managing Director of Chertsey based station Care FM, and continues to do interviews and roving reports for the station under its new guise as ACE radio.
A regular on the newsroom team, Jim enjoys ‘soft and easy’ music, although he is also partial to a touch of the Rolling Stones. Jim is also a fan of steam trains and model aircraft. He particularly enjoys travelling and has holidayed all over the world. Jim is now retired, after a long career with BT.
