WEBSTER’S WEEK - FRIDAY 4th JULY 2008 - 12 noon - 3 pm . . .

Jonathan’s guest this week, live in the studio, is David Wilshire. Conservative MP for Spelthorne talking about his 21 years in Parliament and answering questions about the current political situation as well as local matters.

There will be a feature about the United States of America looking at the real history of American Independence Day with live contributions from friends around the world.and especially from the USA

Our special guest David Wilshire MP has a love of cider, coming from the area where it is mostly produced so this week in our look at Traditional Crafts we look at Cider making with all its interesting facts.

We will also welcome Andy Hollebon, our hospital’s Head of Communications, into the studio to talk about the exciting events to celebrate the 60th birthday of the NHS and a feature comparing how it was in the NHS and how it is now.

There will be our ‘Who’s Who at Hospital RadioWey’ section and today’s guest will be Peter Harman who has been with HRW for 38 years and is currently working hard on preparing our new studio.

In the ever popular Poet’s Corner there will be a piece specially chosen to mark American Independence Day from Aileen our resident poetry reader.

There will be coverage of recent news stories that have caught our attention this week with, no doubt, some comments thrown in . . . The music for the show this week will feature the hits of the Swinging Sixties [ www.1-ix.com/wweek ]

On the 7th July, Mandy, covering for Clive Stevens, will be doing a show dedicating a whole hour and a half to Celtic music. The best of Irish, Scottish and Welsh music. Anyone that loves Riverdance, Welsh Male Voice choirsand Donald, where's yur troosers stuff will love it . . .

How many scouts DID we get into a tiny studio?  We think it was 23. After checking under the mixing decks and behind the sound proofing. Many of the scouts will be appearing in the Spelthorne Young Voices Summer Concert Sat 28th June - St Peter's Church, Staines. VIEW >

Get Ready for the inaugural Surrey Heath Arts Council YOUNG MUSICIAN OF THE YEAR . . . 13th& 14th September heats will be held at The Camberley Theatre then on

Sunday 19th October the finals will also be held at The Camberley Theatre.
